Terrific episode, enjoyed the content! Some notes below.
What I thought went well:
- lot of depth in content
- twolf was a natural and an excellent speaker
- the conversation felt unforced (the umms and pauses made it real)
What could be better:
- twolf monologued a lot which worked out here because he was a great speaker but might be worthwhile interrupting the guests more
- would have loved to get more context around twolf’s live pre addiction, so you could paint the full picture more
- given you have a “being harsh on sf” reputation (for what it’s worth, I don’t think you’re unfairly harsh and I agree with most of your takes), I think it would be good for you to explicitly acknowledge that and try to get both sides of the argument more
- in other words, I think there’s a lack of truly “moderate” content which is well balanced and unbiased, I think you could address that void if you can build trust that you’re a moderate
I consider allowing people to drug theamselves to death criminal. Have anyone explored the idea of building a criminal case against the counties', state government/s, etc., through, per example, a class action, to try to force goverment to solve this crisis?
Excellent! Very interesting and very informative. Have you considered doing an episode with someone who wants the programs to continue the way they are? I agree with you and Mr. Wolf, but it would be interesting to hear how the "status quo" proponents support their positions.
interesting analysis . https://youtu.be/zQat-7aytAo?t=180 almost daily , i walk past Victoria's place on shotwell ( 20th / 21st ) and wonder why it is so difficult to push thru similar projects. Worth a deep dive to anyone with interest in what can work.
